Shampooed Carpets

We recently shampooed our carpets and Stella’s reaction to the wet carpet surprised me. When she stepped on the wet carpet she recoiled as if stepping away from a hot stove. She then went on the hunt for a dry spot. The carpet on the edges of the room was dry since it’s hard to clean the carpet right next to the wall. Stella figured out the edges were dry and would try to hang out there but didn’t like being limited to such a small place. Then she discovered under the dining room table was dry and camped out there.

I’m surprised she didn’t like the wet carpet since she has no problem tromping through snow or through the bushes when it’s raining.
